Chris deserves credit and recognition for the impact he has and continues to bring to many communities. He stands out from the crowd and an inspiration to many setting up their own business, those needing support in struggling industries and people wanting to make a difference in a stressful society.

  • My company is providing valuable time saving products to small businesses. I was on holiday in 2007 and wanted to make the most of the free time. I spoke to the hotel concierge, searched endless websites, ticketing booths and the tourist information centres. Everyone recommended something different. Which made me think about what else I was missing. I returned home and spoke to numerous hotels and business and realised that everyone was compiling their own information for their customers, a very time-consuming exercise. It also meant that visitors were not getting a consistent experience in a destination.

I wanted to create a completely independent information service to help small businesses provide their customers with an unbiased, comprehensive service providing the best choices available on 'things to do'. My research led me to a number of partners, who if brought together would provide a solution. I assembled a small team, built a online platform to distribute the information and launched in my hometown. The Wittdo (What Is There To Do?) network now has a membership of hotels, B&Bs, Language schools, theatres, arenas, football clubs and associations who subscribing to access our service. We are now expanding across Dorset and Hampshire. In October we launch "Where Is There To Stay?".

Our products save our members a huge amount of staff time, and ensure they provide their visitors and residents with consistent and quality information.

  • Full of excitement and a mischievous grin on his face, Chris is always there to support and encourage people, in whatever their venture. His postivity and verve brings out the very best in people and makes them want to support and encourage him on his many adventures in return!
