  • I have known John for almost 20 years and I think that he should win this award because it would have been so much easier for him to set up a profit making business, for him alone to reap the benefits from, instead of others.

John is the first in his field when it comes to putting financial services/advice and social enterprise in the same sentence.

The potential for this business to affect how other financial institutes work, i.e. with a conscience, can benefit, not only this country but the world at large.

John has pushed aside social and financial barriers to get this far because he believes that the potential for this type of business, to aid charities, is enormous.

By winning this award, John will get even more exposure for the good works he is endeavouring to accomplish.

  • John displays energy, passion, determination, flexibility and fun in his work, and a keen understanding of what is required to build his project successfully. Quotes4Charity CIC delivers substantial donations to charity via their trading activity, without creating a ‘social premium’ for clients using the service. Competing with ‘normal’ business on its own terms, Johns project is a first, a unique way to tap into a mature, diverse and profitable business sector and re-distribute some of those profits to charities and other suitable organisations. Building a model that is sensitive to charity requirements, and giving his clients the choice as to who receives the majority of the charitable donation, show John understands what his partners and client want.

Quotes4Charity is challenging the current status quo, and winning this award will provide a fantastic platform for his company to reach a wider audience.

John would benefit from this award as it would help him reach a wider audience, speeding up the growth of Quotes4Charity. This will enable John to implement some of the wider objectives that he has planned, such as providing training and employment opportunities for individuals who wouldn’t normally be considered for work in the financial services sector.

  • Whilst working overseas John had the chance to travel, and was deeply affected by the deep poverty and exploitation he came across. It planted a seed in his mind to do something to help. This has resulted in a lot of late nights, and a community of charity partners that's growing quickly!

Having worked in fundraising previously, I know the hard work that goes into raising vital cash, and its been fantastic to help John build what I consider to be the best new fundraising idea this year.

John is an inspiring person with integrity, and Quotes4Charity CIC provides the general public with a great new way to transact everyday finances.

  • This is why I think John Mulkerrin should win this award, He has thought of an idea that not only helps charitys benefit but helps the public feel that they are making a positive difference.

This is a fee-free brokerage service which enables users to donate a sizeable amount of money to a charity of their choice, whilst receiving the help and advice they need on their finances. Quotes4Charity CIC provides a fresh new way of looking at the financial services in a different light.

Hopefully all companys will adapt to this way of thinking in the future - we can only hope so.
